What you’ll do
Pickup and cable car ascent
Travel from your confirmed pickup point to Teide National Park, then ride the cable car to the upper station in time for sunset.
Sunset walk to Pico Viejo
Follow your guide on a roughly 40-minute walk toward the Pico Viejo viewpoint as the sun sets.
Picnic dinner and telescope observation
Enjoy a picnic-style dinner, then observe the night sky through telescopes with your guide before the drive back to your pickup area.

Before you book
Eligibility
- Minimum age: 8
- Medium-low difficulty, including about 40 minutes of walking. You need enough fitness for the walk at altitude.
- Pregnant guests and people with heart conditions cannot take part. If you have another health condition, ask your doctor before booking.
- Guests with physical or motor impairments cannot use the cable car because safe emergency evacuation cannot be guaranteed.
What to bring
- Closed, high-grip footwear and warm clothing are required. Open shoes, shorts and short sleeves are not accepted.
- For the Pico Viejo viewpoint trail, wear hiking boots and carry long trousers (worn or packed) and a fleece or equivalent warm layer.

Friendly guide, a somewhat sluggish bus. Well-organized excursion and magnificent scenery!
The walk to Pico Viejo and the stargazing workshop are too short. Transport shouldn't be mandatory for the activity - it should be optional, with the price adjusted accordingly.
Wonderful tour from start to finish. Worth the money due to quality of the experience and small group size. Great way to see a different side to Tenerife and see beautiful nature.
