This is the authorized ascent toward the summit of Mount Teide, not a sightseeing visit to the cable car's upper station. The National Park limits how many people may pass beyond La Rambleta each day, so the summit permit - requested on your behalf - is central to this excursion.

What you’ll do
Transfer and cable car
Your guide meets your group at the confirmed pickup point and travels with you to the Teide Cable Car base station, then up to La Rambleta at 3,555 m.
The Telesforo Bravo trail
From La Rambleta, walk the Telesforo Bravo trail with your guide to the Teide Crater and the summit area at 3,715 m - about an hour each way.
Cable car descent and return
Ride the cable car back down to the base station, with time to visit the "Science and Legend" exhibition before the transfer back.

Before you book
Eligibility
- Minimum age: 6
- Not recommended for anyone with reduced mobility or a current injury. Visitors with a physical or motor disability cannot take the cable car ascent, because safe evacuation within the required time cannot be guaranteed.
- Children under 6, pregnant women, and anyone with a heart condition cannot take part, because of the risk high altitude poses to their health. If you have any health concerns, consult your doctor before booking.
- The walk to the crater and back takes about two hours and is rated high difficulty. A good level of fitness is needed; your guide may ask you to turn back if they judge it unsafe to continue.
- Bring your ID or passport: you must show it at the trail entrance to match the summit permit, which is issued in your name.
What to bring
- Closed mountain hiking or sports shoes with high-grip, non-slip soles are required on the trail and for the cable car. Heels, platforms, sandals, and other open or flat-soled shoes are not permitted.
- The child fare requires proof of age at pickup.
- Pets cannot join, other than registered guide or therapy dogs.
Booking and confirmation
- After booking, we'll contact you for the participant details needed to request the summit permits and confirm your booking: first and last name for every traveller, plus an ID or passport number for each adult. Your booking stays pending until this step is complete.
- If the cable car cannot operate, you'll join an alternative ground-level visit to the park instead, with the price difference refunded. If the cable car runs but the summit trail is closed, you'll still ride up to La Rambleta on an alternative route, also with the price difference refunded.

Cancellation
- This excursion includes the National Park summit permit. Your booking is confirmed only when the permit is issued in your name. If it cannot be issued, we release the hold on your card and do not charge you. Once confirmed, you cannot change or cancel your booking.
FAQs
Is this the same as Teide Tour?
No. Teide Tour's cable-car option reaches La Rambleta, the cable car's upper station, and does not include a summit permit. This excursion continues on foot beyond La Rambleta, with the guide and permit needed to reach the Teide Crater and summit area.
Can I change or cancel after booking?
Once your booking is confirmed, you can no longer change or cancel it, because the summit permit is issued in your name and cannot be reassigned. Before confirmation, if the permit application is unsuccessful, any card authorization is released and you are not charged.

Die Tour mit der Seilbahn auf den Teide und die Besteigung des Gipfels waren super! Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Aussicht und für uns war der Aufstieg auch nicht übermäßig anstrengend, auch wenn man die dünnere Luft bei Anstrengung schon merkt. Dort oben ist eine wunderbare Ruhe und die Luft ist so klar...einfach herrlich! Absolute Weiterempfehlung! Wir würden auf jeden Fall jederzeit nochmal den Gipfel besteigen.
